PRIVATE PRACTICE
Bespoke, discreet wellbeing for private clients
I work privately with a limited number of clients, offering highly individual sessions that draw on more than two decades of experience in therapeutic bodywork, yoga, meditation and somatic practice.
My approach is not prescriptive. I listen first, understand what you need, and draw from the practices and experience most appropriate to you.
A different kind of wellbeing practice
People come to me for many different reasons.
Sometimes there is a physical issue - tension in the neck and shoulders, a sore back, restricted movement or a longstanding niggle.
Sometimes they feel depleted, overwhelmed or simply out of balance. Others are moving through a significant transition in life, want to maintain their mobility and wellbeing as they age, or recognise that they have spent years looking after everything and everyone else and need some space for themselves.
There is no single approach for all of these situations.
A session may involve therapeutic massage or bodywork, yoga, breathwork, meditation or somatic practice. Often, it is a combination. The work is shaped around the individual rather than a fixed treatment.
Listening is central to what I do.
My aim is to create a space in which you feel safe, heard and able to relax, and from which you can leave feeling physically freer, more at ease and better able to meet life as it is.
Experience
I began my professional training in therapeutic massage and bodywork in 2003 and qualified to teach yoga in 2007.
Since then, my practice has evolved through more than two decades of teaching, therapeutic bodywork, academic study and personal practice.
My training includes an MA in Traditions of Yoga and Meditation from SOAS, University of London; BTEC Level 5 Soft Tissue & Remedial Massage; MBSR teacher training; Spinal Energetics Levels 1 & 2; and advanced training in Restorative and Yin Yoga.
I have also undertaken foundational study in Existential Psychotherapy and approximately a decade of study and travel in India.
My yoga and contemplative practice has included long-term study in India and internationally. I practised with Sharath Jois in Mysore from 2007 - 2024 and studied with Rolf Naujokat and Shri O. P. Tiwari, a master in classical prāṇāyāma, who gave me his blessing to teach prāṇāyāma. My continuing practice includes study with Tsoknyi Rinpoche and regular Vipassanā and Dzogchen silent retreats.
Alongside my therapeutic and teaching practice, I spent 15 years working at a senior level in corporate communications, including as a communications consultant supporting organisations through significant periods of change.
Private Sessions
Private sessions are available in clients' residences and other appropriate private settings in London.
Sessions can be arranged individually or as an ongoing private wellbeing relationship, depending on what feels appropriate.
For clients with particularly demanding schedules, arrangements can be discussed individually.
Privacy, discretion, professionalism, clear boundaries and respect for the individual are fundamental to my work.
