Ayurvedic Yoga Massage

A deep tissue massage with yoga based stretches.  This treatment is given on a mattress on the floor. Oil and calamus powder, which stimulates circulation and helps release toxins, is applied to the body and a combination of massage and stretches using hands and feet are given.  The massage releases muscle tension and join stiffness and encourages the energy in the body to flow freely.

Duration: 60-90 minutes

“Just like her yoga classes, Joyce's massages are considerate, deep, nurturing and respectful. My massage was tailored to what my body was needing, and the benefits were medicinal as well as just plain relaxing. They should be a part of everyone's self care routine!
“Joyce used a breathing technique which involved deep exhalations through the mouth and stretching, which helped to release tension. I felt really light and energised. A true pick-me up! Thoroughly recommend it”
“My experience was perfect, from the moment Joyce greeted me to the moment after I left. The massage itself was very relaxing thanks to the elements of stretching that Joyce incorporated into it. The massage both relaxed and invigorated me”

“As a doctor I had a healthy scepticism about complimentary therapies but when I developed symphysis pubis dysfunction (SPD) during the last trimester of my pregnancy I thought I would give reflexology a try. At the third and fourth sessions Joyce used a specific trigger release for SPD and much to my amazement I walked away with a 75-80% improvement in my symptoms. It is now two weeks down the line and there is no sign of my symptoms worsening again. I would thoroughly recommend this treatment for SPD which is notoriously difficult to treat medically.”
